Next time we'll go to the Westin. If you are looking for family-friendly fun, Great Wolf Lodge is a solid choice - especially if your kids love the water. Overall it appears to be going in the same direction as CoCoKey. Our balcony room faced the parking lot and the highway, about the worst room you could have. You can hear every noise in the hallway while in your room. The water pressure for the tub & shower in our room was a trickle.
GREAT WOLF LODGE KANSAS CITY DEALS MAC
For a quesadilla (no meat) and mac & cheese with sausage and no drinks it was going to be $27.00. We tried to place a carry out order, after 10 minutes on hold with no answer we gave up and we walked to the restaurant. The front desk said something about lights - considering the room rates I think they can afford lights at the pool. We found this out as we tried to go for a dip at 7:55. The brochure we received upon check in said the water park was open until 9:00, what they didn't say was the outdoor pool (which was the only calm/quiet place for my 87 year old Mom) closes at 8:00. The hot tub (not very hot) states under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, but there is no one to enforce it. Many of the children appeared to be unsupervised. The outdoor pool is 4 foot at the deepest and that's only in the corners. This park is geared for kids under 10, very little to do for older kids. I booked this as a treat for my Mom & Granddaughter, it was a disappointment. Would love to try the Grapevine Texas one but won't chance it especially since I wasted my money on this one. They did say this is a old and small lodge and the others are better. If you lived within say 3 hours and got the room for about $200 a night it might be worth it. Now I drove a tad over 8 hours to come spend 5 nights seeing the commercials thinking wow a family fun vacation. The outdoor pool is just that a plane zero entry pool with some basketball goals and faded old balls. The place is so small I could not believe it. Some crappy hot tubs and another indoor pool with more basketball goals and a small log coarse. The water slides are ok and the line moves fast. The lazy river is so small and has half inflated tubes. It is a joke compared to say Wilderness at the Smokies. Again the staff in this area very understanding and very kind. Magiquest it is fun but very small and some of the stuff doesn't even work. Called twice and finally the nicest two people came and cleaned it. Meaning just clean towels, beds made and bathroom cleaned. We spent our first night last night as of 7 pm today our room still did not get housekeeping. These people are so overworked it is sad. The good thing is they give the kids cute wolf ears and again the staff is awesome. Apparently a 4 pm checkin isn't a guarantee your room will be ready.

Check in Awful! The staff was great but clearly overwhelmed. Everything else about the room is perfect.

The beds in the kids cabin are like sleeping on rocks. The room we are in Kids Cabin is very spacious and clean.
